I had a thought today as Bryn was working on the computer how people say that they don't know how to do things on the computer. I realize that what people need is not to be "taught", but to be allowed to play (sounds like my Kindergarten teaching days). Everything I know about the computer has come from either seeing someone use it and then playing with it or having a need for the computer to something for me. It is amazing how much is out there. You cannot possibly use everything so use what you need or what you want to play with. Today I downloaded Picasa from Google and created this picture in about a minute. It is not much different from iphoto except for the captioning that you can do with it. Google is absolutely amazing! I think that I will go and read a book now on Google Books.

So this is Blogging

I have always encouraged others to keep journals and to write down their thoughts but have not ever been consistent with my own writing.  I have always thought that I would remember those cute things my children and grandchildren have said or done, but I realize that my memory isn't what it use to be (or maybe it never was).
Bryn is growing in knowledge, understanding and stature every day.  I love every moment I am with her (even the frustrating ones when we are working on different time frames).  Today she informed me that she was "Growing big like a flower."   I have no idea where that came from, but she seemed to understand what she was saying.   Today was filled with puzzles, phone calls and the discovery that she could work the computer mouse on her own.  She loves to do puzzles and has a wonderful spacial sense.   She had a phone call to Granny to see if she would turn the Christmas Lights on for her.   The picture says it all for working with the computer.  Granny was very impressed by the way she could handle the mouse.
I am hoping to make this a Christmas filled with memories and tradition.  Maybe my blog will help with that.
